About the Role

As a Senior Scientist, you are responsible for DEL synthesis and take the lead in the design, development and implementation of reactions on DNA. With your in-depth expertise, you will make significant contributions to the success of innovative projects for the discovery of tomorrow’s medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimise organic syntheses on DNA.
  • Establishing analytical methods using HPLC.
  • Lead a small team of laboratory staff.
  • Communicate project updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and validate new DEL selection assays for novel protein classes and modalities.
  • Liaise with external partners to ensure timely project progress.
  • Contribute to business development, sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Represent Serengen at scientific meetings, partnering events and trade shows.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry or related subject.
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in organic synthesis.
  • Proven ability to develop synthesis methods.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing HPLC systems is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; familiarity with German is appreciated.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset driven by self-motivation and a strong sense of urgency.
  • High level of teamwork, flexibility and resilience.
